It’s citrus season!
Citrus trees are a beautiful sight, and the idea of having fresh fruit in your backyard or patio is a dream! Once citrus season rolls around, however, what do you do once you have made enough orange juice and lemonade for the entire neighborhood?
Stop your food from going to waste! Bring your oranges, grapefruits, lemons, and limes to our Super Citrus Saturday collections. Last year we collected over 7,000 pounds of citrus that all went to families in need.
You can donate your citrus at the following dates and locations:
Saturday, January 28, 11am – 2pm at Ashley Home Furnishings, Broadway and Pantano and Rillito Garden Nursery at 6303 N. La Cholla
Saturday, February 25, 11am – 2pm at the Fry’s Stores at 4036 N. First Avenue and 10661 N. Oracle Road, and
Saturday, March 25, 11am – 2pm at the Fry’s Stores at 2001 E. Irvington and 7050 E. 22nd Street.
