Summer Hunger: How We’re Helping

Did you know that 1 in 4 kids in Arizona don’t know where their next meal will come from?

With community support, we’re getting ready for summer. Along with soaring temperatures and high energy bills, kids are out of school and don’t have the same access to free and reduced meals.

Children who enjoy meals with their peers at school during the school year need extra support from our community during the summer months.

We invited Becca Bommersbach, our Youth & Family Programs Coordinator, to tell us about the end of the school semester, transitioning to summer, and what that means for kids here in southern Arizona. Watch below!
