Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive: Volunteers Needed!
Tags: Community, Events, Volunteers
After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, our biggest food drive of the year is back! And we could really use your help to make it a success.
The National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is crucial to keeping our shelves stocked all summer long. It’s easy: all you have to do is leave your donation of non-perishable food items by your mailbox on Saturday, May 14th, and your mail carrier will pick it up. Those food donations feed families across southern Arizona during the difficult summer months.
It takes about 400 volunteers lending a hand at post office locations all over Tucson to collect & sort those food donations. And right now, we only have 75 volunteers signed up! Can you help?
We urgently need volunteers (ages 12 and up) to help out at designated post offices on Saturday, May 14th. It’s a great weekend volunteer opportunity for the whole family! Bring a friend, or recruit a large group.
