Food is a Human Right
We provide emergency food across five counties of Southern Arizona.
We work with community partners to provide a wide range of food assistance, including drive-through food distributions, client-choice food pantries, mobile food distributions, community meal sites, free produce distributions, grab & go meals, and more.
Food provided at Community Food Bank distributions is part of federal TEFAP and CSFP programs.
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is for any community members who need some extra food for the month. This is a once-monthly visit that provides non-perishable pantry staples like beans, rice, oats, pasta, and more. We also provide a range of fresh items like apples, eggs, meat, milk, bread, and more.
TEFAP Eligibility Guidelines
To pick up a TEFAP food box, you will be asked to self-declare that you meet the income guidelines set by the Department of Economic Security. Eligible individuals can pick up emergency food boxes once per month. The amount of emergency food a family will receive is based on the number of members in the household.

The food bank location or agency you visit will ask for the following information:
- Your name
- Your date of birth, and the date of birth of any family members living with you
- The number of people in your household
- Proof that you live in the service area (this can be any proof of your address, like a utility bill with your name on it)
- A photo ID

The Commodity Senior Food Program (CSFP) is for low-income seniors over the age of 60. The program is a once-monthly visit that provides a variety of foods such as cereal, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, and more. CSFP participants may also pick up a TEFAP food box for their household.
Participation in the CSFP program is limited, and new applicants may be put on a waitlist. To be eligible, a person must be over 60 years old and have a total household income under 130% of the federal poverty level.
