Diana's Story

When I was younger we would go to the Food Bank sometimes to get Emergency Food Boxes.

I think I was maybe 11 or 12 when I started cooking or when my mouther started allowing me to cook. My mother was one of my biggest influences, but then she moved to Australia. Then I was pretty much in charge of cooking dinner for my brothers. 

I expected a lot from the program at Caridad and it actually gave me even more than I expected. I mean, right now I wouldn't have career opportunities without these skills. 

Diana graduated from the Caridad Culinary Training Program, which prepares adults for careers in the food industry.
